Being an echo

You might not have been named Echo like I was, but we have the same calling believe it or not!
God put each of us here for a purpose, and while the adventures we are each on may look very different, they were meant to answer the same purpose.  Let's talk about it!

Names Matter

You may or may not already know this about me, but I was named Echo as a prophetic calling over my life to be an echo of the voice of the Lord in my life and in my Christian faith.  Yes, it's my real legal name despite how often people don't believe me.

And also yes, my parents were hippies in Oregon back in the day, but this name was decided long before that time in their lives. #Promise Hahaha

So while this calling may be unique to me based on the name I am living up to, our mission is the same if you too choose to believe.

Echo (featuring Tauren Wells)

This song came out a number of years ago so if you don't remember it, "Echo" is performed by contemporary worship band Elevation Worship featuring Tauren Wells.  It's catchy and upbeat, and shares powerful reminders with us all.

These lyrics convey a message of perseverance and faith.  The story being sung by Tauren Wells is about a person experiencing moments of doubt, fear, and a loss of hope, but finding strength and reassurance in their belief in God. Despite the hardships we all face, we can remain steadfast in our faith, choosing not to give up because we believe that God's Word is true, His promises are true, and God's love and support are unwavering.

The echo is first referenced in the chorus:

"Your love is holding on
And it won't let go
I feel it breaking out like an echo"

Verse 2 goes on to remind us:

"In every season
You [God] keep repeating promises to me"

Who doesn't want the feeling of constant support and encouragement in their life?!

What are You Listening To on Repeat?

The recurring motif of an "echo" serves to symbolize God's love reverberating within our souls, offering constant support and encouragement to those who follow Him.  I hope that you hear how this song expresses a deep connection and trust in God's promises and the sustaining power of divine love.

May this be an encouragement to you today and keep you allowing the things that echo and repeat in your life to be those that you deserve!  Further, this joy and hope that we have is meant to be shared by every one of us.  That is why we are here.  Why we have a voice.  And maybe why we were given the name we were given.

Haven't heard this song?  Give it a listen and tell me what you think:
